The Iowa State University College of Human Science's Dean's List honors students who have earned a grade point average of 3.5 or higher during the spring semester of 2017.

Ten Buena Vista University (BVU) biology students presented research at the 129th Iowa Academy of Science (IAS) Annual Meeting on April 21-22 at the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls, Iowa.
Buena Vista University's (BVU) thirteenth annual Scholars Day was held Saturday, April 29. The event provided students from all disciplines an opportunity to present their best original research, academic posters, artistic creations and performances to their peers, professors and the public.

The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater wrestling team opens the 2016-17 season this Saturday at the Luther (Iowa) Open with high hopes for a sixth consecutive Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference championship and a chance to compete for the NCAA Division III national title.
The Carthage chapter of Enactus headed to the organization's national exposition for the eighth straight year. The group earned their bid at the Chicago regional competition on March 21. This year's national exposition was held May 15-17 in St. Louis.
Nearly 600 high school seniors competed in Augustana College's annual Scholarship Competition on January 17, 2015. Students competed for $4,000 scholarships awarded by each academic department at Augustana. Winners of the scholarships will be notified by March 1, 2015.

Forty-three juniors were initiated into Augustana's Aglaia Chapter of the Mortar Board National Senior Honor Society on April 14. Mortar Board members are selected annually by their peers in recognition of their devotion to scholarship, leadership and service. Students are eligible for membership in their junior year. Each member must have at least a 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) GPA or be in the top 35 percent of his orher class, whichever is higher.
